Qu\u00e9bec Mega Trail (QMT) is proud to announce that, for the third year in a row, one of its events has been selected to be part of the prestigious Salomon<\/b>\u2019<\/b><\/span>s<\/b><\/span> Golden Trail National Series (GTNS)<\/b><\/a>. Thanks to a special agreement with the organization, the QMT-25<\/b>, which will be happening on July 2nd<\/sup><\/span> 2023, will allow the participating athletes to earn twice the points in the GTNS ranking.<\/p>\n

This makes the QMT the only Canadian race in the GTNS in 2023. There are four other races in the USA : Breakneck point<\/span><\/a> 21k, +1,300m, The Broken Arrow Skyrace<\/span><\/a> 26k, +1,510m, Pikes Peak Marathon & Ascent<\/span><\/a> 21k, +2,832m et le Mammoth Trailfest<\/span><\/a> 26k, +1,400m to complete the North american calendar of the mythical circuit.<\/p>\n

The grand finale of the GTNS<\/span><\/a>, which will welcome the highest ranked athletes, will take place from October 19 to 22 during the Il Golfo dell’Isola Trail Race ITA event, in Italy (23k,\u00a0 <\/span>+1,200m).<\/p>\n

Last year, Jean-Philippe Thibodeau (Qu\u00e9bec) and Katheryne Short (British-Columbia) won the QMT-50 event, which was on the GTNS, in 5:01:49 and 5:40:42 respectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
