12 500$ in prizes to the winners of the 2025 edition of Québec Mega Trail

Good news for athletes participating in the Québec Mega Trail: cash prizes will be offered to winners for the very first time during the 2025 edition. The first three men and the first three women to cross the finish line on the QMT-135, the new race announced this summer, will receive a grant of up to $1,000.

In addition, the top three Canadian men and the top three Canadian women over the 50 km and 80 km distances, who will appear at the Canadian Trail Running Championships, will obtain a cash prize of up to $900.

“With a view to continuous improvement, our team wants to do more for the athletes registered in the Québec Mega Trail. It was therefore completely natural for us to offer cash prizes to champions and encourage them in their sport evolution. We are very proud to be able to make this addition this year and we hope that it will perhaps encourage a few runners, from here or elsewhere, to come and try out our trails!” – Jean Fortier, general director and founder of Québec Méga Trail

Québec Mega Trail is currently recruiting elite athletes who will compete in the 2025 edition which will take place from July 3 to 6, 2025. Runners can visit the QMT website to find out how to register. The deadline to submit an application for the elite program is January 1, 2025.
