Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré, October 19th, 2022 – Québec Mega Trail has concluded a three-year exclusive agreement with MIUT, which is located on the magnificent Island of Madeira in Portugal. With this new partnership, the winners of the QMT 110 and MIUT 115 will have the chance to cross the ocean in order to take part in an exchange and promote their sport internationally.
This new agreement, unique in Canada, is part of the Québec Mega Trail international initiative, and is an addition to the agreements signed with the Grand Raid de l’Île de la Réunion and the Swiss Canyon Trail. Other than the registration, the selected runners will have their transportation and lodging paid.

For MIUT race director Sidonio Freitas, it is an opportunity to share and discover both cultures : “ It is a great pleasure to associate with QMT. This partnership will allow our racers to live a great experience abroad. It will also be an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge between our two organizations.”
The MIUT’s 14th edition is slated for April 22nd in a landscape of unequaled beauty containing countless challenges and wonders in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. For the last four years, all 3,000 race bibs have sold in less than 24 hours. Created in 2008, the event is now a legendary trail and has carved itself a select place in the world circuit with it’s 115 km and 7,100 m positive gain.
